The song I chose to sing at my original DMTC audition was Billy Joel’s “Just The Way You Are”. Not long ago I was going through my old mini-discs from when I was doing the clubs and came across a recording of me singing live at the Nursery House WMC in Gateshead. This just happens to be one of the numbers I sang.
The Year was 1999 and the ironic thing is that the drummer was Malcolm Dicks who’s played in the orchestra for loads of DMTC’s shows including “Gigi” and “Mack and Mabel!”
